February 2010 - June 2010
Manasota Key, FL – In conjunction with the Manasota Key Drainage Improvements Project, work to install storm sewers and replace a water main will begin on Monday, February 8, 2010, and continue through June 2010. As a result of this work, traffic may intermittently be down to one lane on Gulf Boulevard and Shore View. Drivers are encouraged to be patient, as possible delays should be anticipated. Motorists are encouraged to exert caution when in the construction areas.
July 2009 - February 2011
Punta Gorda, FL – Improvements to Aqui Esta Drive are continuing with periodic lane closures on Aqui Esta Drive, from US 41 to Bal Harbor Boulevard until project completion expected in February 2011. Detour signs and flaggers are present to direct traffic around the closures. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes and exercise caution while traveling in the area.
March 15, 2008 - Until Further Notice
Port Charlotte, Florida - The light at the lock in the Manchester Waterway will be turned off beginning Saturday, March 15, 2008, until further notice as construction begins on the removal of the lock. Boaters are urged to use caution in that area when navigating the waterway after dark.
