This project will provide a four-lane, divided arterial (Piper Road, from Henry Street to North Jones Loop), connecting US 17 with Jones Loop Road at I-75. Staff is working with the Airport Authority to combine the stormwater management for both Piper Road and their property into a single system. Negotiations are also underway with other property owners along the roadway for right-of-way, access points, and stormwater facilities.
Future dates and durations associated with this project are approximations and are dependent on funding, permitting, weather, and contractor availability. Permitting for some projects, depending on their complexity, can take years to obtain.
