Aqui Esta Drive Improvements

This project--which Public Works is conducting jointly with the City of Punta Gorda and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)--provides for improvements to Aqui Esta Drive, between US 41 and Bal Harbor Boulevard. These improvements entail widening the existing roadway; two-foot paved shoulders; raising the low portion of the roadway to reduce flooding; a sidewalk along the north side within the City limits; and intersection improvements at US 41.
Future dates and durations associated with this project are approximations and are dependent on funding, permitting, weather, and contractor availability. Permitting for some projects, depending on their complexity, can take years to obtain.
