SOUTH GULF COVE PARK

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Nov. 5, 2009) – The Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners invites the public to the official opening of South Gulf Cove Park located in South Gulf Cove at 10150 Amicola Street, on Monday, November 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.

South Gulf Cove Park was developed with funds from West County park impact fees and from the beginning, the project has had tremendous public support from the South Gulf Cove community, including The Conservancy and Community Trust of South Gulf Cove, Inc., South Gulf Cove Homeowners Association and the South Gulf Cove Advisory Committee.

Set along the Santa Cruz Waterway active elements of the park include a picnic pavilion, playground, basketball court and walking paths. The South Gulf Cove Boat Ramp, opened in 2004, is also located in the park.

Please join the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners, the South Gulf Cove Advisory Committee and Charlotte County Parks Recreation & Cultural Resources in celebrating the opening of South Gulf Cove Park. Light refreshments will be served.
