Photo of Commissioner D'AprileTom D’Aprile was first elected to the Board of County Commissioners in November 2000.  He takes his elected position very seriously and will strive to make a difference in the future of Charlotte County.   In fact, he has already accomplished refunding utility connection fees to those who overpaid in advance of construction.  His constituents regard him very highly as a person who gets things done, which in turn is helping restore their faith in government.

As a business man and educator, he has the ability to analyze problems and find acceptable solutions to benefit the community.  His hands-on approach and his inherent ability to use common sense have contributed greatly to his past successes, and will help him to achieve his future goals.

Some of those goals include revitalization of older commercial corridors, equity in applying impact fees, beautification of US 41, attracting new business to our community; and organizing neighborhood community groups.
