CCTV-20 Internship Program
Internships:
CCTV-20 is a joint partnership access channel between the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners and the Charlotte County Public Schools . We air government meetings and educational programming on Comcast Channel 20.
As an intern you will gain experience in a nonprofit TV station setting and learn how Government Access stations work for the community. We are in search of administrative interns for our Equipment, Operations and Programming Departments.
Experience required:
Previous experience with school or college television production classes is preferred. Candidates with strong communications skills, who are highly organized and detail oriented, are encouraged to apply.
Commitment:
The length of the internship is 3 months (with a possibility of extending to 6 months) 2 - 3 times/week for a total of 8 - 12 hours/week.
Salary:
This is an unpaid internship. Charlotte County will work with your school to structure assignments to meet your schools specific requirements for academic credit whenever possible.
As an intern, you will have full access to the CCTV studios. Your assignments may involve filming on location, video editing utilizing a non-liner editing program (Final Cut Pro), production, or studio engineering involving creating and maintaining a daily program schedule. Work will be performed in either the CCTV studio or Communications & Marketing offices.
