Tents

• Application
• Owner/Builder Affidavit
• 2 copies of Flame Retardation Certificate (from tent company)
• 2 sets of site plans
• Date tent will go up and come down

• A special event permit is required if tent is not on owner's property.
• The dates of when the tent will be constructed and removed will be required.
• Apply for Special Event Permit in Zoning. The permit is issued immediately.
• If putting in electric, a separate electrical permit is required.

• Fire Final – 937  Inspector will check for fire extinguishers, flame retardant label, tie downs and site location

Water Conditioner - No longer requires a permit, however, a plumbing and/or electrical permit may be required.

Wall (boundary wall, landscaping wall)

• Application
• Owner/Builder Affidavit - if by owner
• Notice of Commencement - if value is $2,500 or more
• 2 Sets of signed & sealed building plans
• 2 site plans
• 2 copies of survey

• Reviews will be performed by Building, Zoning and Right-Of-Way.

• Building Fill Cells – 203 (if wall is over 4 feet)
• Seawall – 209 (If 8 feet or over)

• Right-Of-Way Final -985

Wall - Interior

• Application
• Owner/Builder Affidavit - if by owner
• Notice of Commencement - if value is $2,500 or more
• 2 sets of floor plans for structure
• 2 sets of building plans – how walls will be constructed and attached

• Reviews will be performed by the plans examiner.
• Electric, Plumbing and Air Conditioning can be included with this permit.

Water Heater

• Over the Counter Trade Permit - Combo
• Owner/Builder Affidavit - if by owner
• Notice of Commencement - if value is $2,500 or more

• By Florida Building Code, water heaters must be hard wired when installed. The electrical work necessary to connect the water heater to the water heater disconnect does not require a permit.
• A separate electrical permit is required if the water heater is moved to a new location, or a second water heater or larger capacity heater is installed.
