Requirements for Applications - Release of Easement
Boundary Survey, a Site Plan and a Sketch of Description must be submitted by the owner of record or his/her agent with each application.
An original signed/sealed (raised) Boundary Survey prepared by a Florida Licensed Surveyor.
- The original signed/sealed Boundary Survey must meet the minimum technical requirements of Chapter 61-G-17-6 Florida Administrative Code.
- The latest certification date of the Boundary Survey must be certified within six months of the date of application.
- The Boundary Survey must show and identify all platted easements and rights-of-way.
- The Boundary Survey must contain the title "Boundary Survey".
- The survey must be no larger than legal size (8.5"X14").
A Site Plan
- The original site plan must meet the minimum technical requirements of Chapter 61-G-17-6 Florida Administrative Code.
- If the site plan is prepared by a Florida licensed Surveyor and Mapper, it must also bear an original signature and a raised seal.
- The site plan must have been dated or certified within three months of the date of application.
- The site plan must identify and show the location of all easements and rights-way-way, all existing improvements, any proposed improvements, and an identification of any items encroaching into any easement or right-of-way.
- The site plan should show any existing underground, improvements and/or utilities.
- The site plan must contain the title "Site Plan".
- The site plan must be no larger than legal size (8.5" x 14").
An original signed/sealed Sketch of Description prepared by a Florida licensed surveyor and mapper
- A Sketch of Description is a metes and bounds legal description of the easement area to be released, and must conform to the minimum technical requirements of Chapter 61-G-17-6 Florida Administrative Code.
- The Sketch of Description must also contain the title "Sketch of Description", identify for whom the Sketch of Description was prepared, and the date of the latest revision.
- The Sketch of Description can be up to two pages in length. If the Sketch of Description is submitted on two pages, the sketch must be on page one and the legal description of the easement areas to be released must be on page two.
- The Sketch of Description must be no larger than 8.5" X 14."
