HOT
TOPICS Charlotte Assembly 2007 - More than 130 citizens came together for three days of roundtable discussions on the future of Charlotte County. Topics ranged from environmental protection and development to human services and education. Attendees came from a variety of backgrounds and interests; some had participated in past Assemblies and others had their first experience in visioning sessions. At the end of the three days the group produced a series of recommendations that will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration. Over the next several months an action plan with timelines will be developed to address the top issues identified by the Assembly participants. The Charlotte Assembly 2007 Policy Statement is available on the County website by clicking here. Community Survey - Over the next several weeks Charlotte County Government will be conducting community surveys. Residents will be asked about a variety of issues as well as their experiences with County services.
