Closure of the El Jobean Boat Ramp

El Jobean, FL – The El Jobean Boat Ramp will be closed beginning October 15, 2009. The closure is necessary because of the dredging of the Hayward Canal and renovations to the boat ramp, dock, and parking.
The dredging portion of the project is being undertaken to facilitate safe navigation within the waterway system and will remove approximately 4,040 cubic yards of silted material. Subsequent to the dredging, improvements to the boat ramp, dock, and parking will be overseen by the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department.
