Charlotte County Library System
Volunteers
The Charlotte County Library System uses volunteers at all of its branch libraries. Becoming a library volunteer is a great way to:
- Meet New People
- Earn Community Hours for Florida Bright Futures Scholarships
- Learn New Skills
- Find Interesting Books to Read
- Contribute to Your Library and Your Community
Volunteers assist with many different jobs including:
- Checking in materials
- Putting materials away and maintaining the shelves
- Assisting patrons in finding materials in the library
- Helping with clerical tasks such as typing and filing
- Assisting with youth and young adult programs
If you are willing to learn and able to commit to a regularly scheduled time, being a library volunteer may be just the new activity you've been looking for.
