Family Services Division - Family Self-Sufficiency

Family Self-Sufficiency - Primarily serving low-to-moderate income households, Charlotte County Human Services staff assists families in becoming and remaining self-sufficient. Working to reach self-sufficiency, Human Services case-managers or program specialists may coordinate and facilitate financial assistance.

Assistance - may be available for economically eligible individuals or those facing a crisis that threatens their self-sufficiency. Please note any assistance made to clients is based on eligibility for the program. Note also due to funding guidelines and cycles, not all programs have funds available at any given time. Funding availability as well as eligibility criteria are subject to change. Applicants may be referred to other service providers if the Human Services Eligibility Specialist identifies a need or service not available through Charlotte County Human Services. At any given time, The County’s Referral Website 2-1-1 has access to the most comprehensive list of services as well as the most current contact information for county and state agencies and programs.
