Developments of Regional Impact (DRI's) - FTP Gateway

Active DRI's in Charlotte County. Click image for larger version.
A DRI is a Development of Regional Impact as defined by the Florida Statutes 380.06. These are larger developments that create a significant effect on public infrastructure and greatly increase the demand for public services. You may be familiar with Sandhill, Murdock or Riverwood. These are just a few of the DRIs that are located in Charlotte County. View a map of Active DRI's in Charlotte County.
One document of interest is the Babcock Charlotte Master Development Order. You can download the file here: Color version PDF (7MB) - Black and White version PDF (3MB).
To find out more information on these projects, you can access Adobe PDF files on our FTP server for detailed information as it becomes available. The FTP site contains information about DRI's that exist within the political boundaries of Charlotte County. Just as DRIs may be changed with a Notice of Proposed Change (NOPC) so too will the site be changed to reflect those amendments to the Development Order (DO). It is not meant to be a cumulative resource to address all your Charlotte County DRI needs
Note:
- Some web browsers (AOL) may not be able to access FTP servers. However, you can try using free dedicated FTP software.
- PDF files can be quite large and may not view properly in your web browser. For more help on this problem, click here.
- The FTP directories are organized by project and type of information. Some directories and files have special acronyms that may not be familiar. A list of Acromyn definitions is in the works.
