Boca Grande Community Planning Effort
Introduction and Background
The Boca Grande community Planning Panel was formed and held their first public meeting in January, 2004 The members of the panel were appointed by the Boca Grande Community Planning Association, Inc. a not-for-profit corporation created to receive grant monies from Lee County, Charlotte County and the Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association, Inc. The Panel drafted and adopted a Mission Statement and created eight subcommittees to draft the Vision Statement, and Goals, Objectives and Policies for each of seven areas of interest.
