The final public workshop for the Corridor Study was held in May, 2003.

The final Corridor Study was presented to the Board of County Commissioners in July 2003.
The Board of County Commissioners requested a follow up presentation on the status of the Corridor Study and the action items it contained. This follow up was presented in October of 2003. The follow up discussion focused primarily on the creation of commercial nodes, a description and status of the existing commercial strip, and other issues and concerns addressed in the initial study (traffic, Myakka City Park, and Industrial development along CR 771.
