Battalion Chief Gary Kleynen

Chief Kleynen was appointed to the department on June 1, 1982. After serving as a lieutenant in several companies for several years Chief Kleynen was promoted to his current position on September 7, 1994. Chief Kleynen is currently assigned as the head of emergency vehicle maintenance. “EVM” handles the repair and service of all vehicles and equipment within the department as well as the writing of the specifications for all new equipment purchases.

Chief Kleynen has finalized the plans for the departments new vehicle maintenance and supply facility. This new facility will quadruple the capacity of the maintenance shop and allow all department supply departments to be housed under one roof.
