West Charlotte Mini-Transfer Facility
West Charlotte Mini-Transfer & Recycling Facility is now open!
The C.A.R.E. Reuse store at this facility is now accepting donation and will reopen in late 2008.

Residential Yard Trimmings Information: This disposal service is intended for residential materials that can not be collected at the curb by Waste Management such as items that exceed ten (10) inches in diameter, lengths in excess of six (6) feet, or bundles that weigh more than forty (40lbs) pounds.
Yard Trimmings Limits: There is a limit on the lengths of material accepted at this facility; branches can not exceed eight (8) feet in length and plastic trash bags are prohibited. Yard Trimmings are not accepted from commercial business at this location.
Business Participation:
Businesses will now have an opportunity to participate in the County's Recycling Program by dropping off their recyclable materials: "Cardboard, Mixed Paper, Newspapers, Plastics, Aluminum & Steel Cans, Glass, and Textiles." All other waste materials from businesses are prohibited at this facility.
Prohibitions:
Putresible waste: that decomposes and becomes foul smelling and rots, such as household garbage is not accepted at this facility from residential or business customers.
CARE’S Project REUSE: CARE(Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies) and Charlotte County Environmental & Extension Services have collaborated to sell unwanted household items.
