Deep Creek Property

The Deep Creek Property is approximately 450 acre of scrubby and mesic flatwoods, xeric and mesic hammocks, scattered depressional marshes and mangrove swamp. The western and northern portion of this site may be a good place to catch a glimpse of the Florida scrub jays, gopher tortoise and many other scrub dependent species. The southern area transitions into high marsh and mangrove communities along the western shores of the Peace River, where a abundant variety of wading birds can be seen foraging.
