Tippecanoe Environmental Park
2400 El Jobean Road, Port Charlotte, FL
Tippecanoe Environmental Park is a 380 acre preserve consisting of oak scrub, scrubby flatwoods, pine flatwoods, coastal hammock, floodplain forest, salt marshes and mangrove swamps. Tippecanoe is home to a family of Florida Scrub Jays, as well as a large population of gopher tortoises. Boardwalks provide visitors the opportunity to observe the bird life within the mangroves and look out over the marshes.
To get there: Travel onto SR 776 toward the El Jobean area. Tippecanoe is located behind the Charlotte Sport's Park Stadium.
