Charlotte Alert – Information by Request
The Charlotte Alert notification system is an easy way to receive timely information about Charlotte County news, events, bulletins, newsletters, and more. You can receive information via phone, e-mail, fax, and/or TTY depending on availability.

What alerts are sent out?
Some of the alerts currently available are:
- Meeting notifications and agendas
- Newsletters such as the Economic Development Newsletter and the E-News
- Bulletins about road closures, dangerous dogs, and other timely occurrences
- Weekly schedule for CCTV-20
- County events
- Emergencies to the CCU water system
- and more!
You choose which alerts you would like and how you want them sent to you.
How do I sign up?
To sign up, you need to create an account and then choose the alerts and delivery methods that you want. Go to http://charlottefl.com/charlottealert and under New User? click Please register here if you do not have an account:

The New Account screen is displayed:

Type a valid e-mail address, a password, and then click the Continue button. Another New Account screen is displayed:

Type your information (phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.) and then click the Create New Account button. Your account is created and you will need to log back in to choose alerts and delivery methods.
How do I log in to my account?
Once you have created an account, you can log in.
Go to http://charlottefl.com/charlottealert and under Already Registered? type your e-mail address and password and then click the Login button:

How do I change information in my account?
Log in to your account, click the Edit My Account tab, then click a link based on what you want to change:

- To change phone contact information click Edit My Account Information (address, phone…).
- The change your password click Change Password.
- To change the time of day that alerts are sent, click Change Contact Times
- To remove your account completely, click Remove Account. Please note that if you remove your account, you are immediately deleted from the system and will have to register as a new user again if you wish to receive alerts in the future.

Click here to have it e-mailed to you or go to the log in page and click Have it emailed to you.
How do I subscribe or unsubscribe to alerts?
Log in to your account, then click the Edit My Alerts tab:

Select or deselect alerts by clicking boxes under the appropriate media types (example: "email" or "phone"). A green checkmark in a box (
) indicates you have chosen to receive that specific alert via that delivery method. Click the box again to remove the checkmark if you do not want to receive the alert. You can also click the title of an alert to display a brief description.
