  • If sprinklers are located in the Right-Of-Way (ROW), a ROW inspection and an additional ROW fee will be required. No reviews are required for this permit and can be issued immediately.

Mobile Homes and Park Models

Mobile homes may be located only on property zoned for mobile homes. A building permit must be issued before placing the mobile home on the property.

  • Reviews will be performed by Addressing, Zoning, Building Plans, Right-Of- Way and Tree/Landscape.
  • The following must be completed before finals will be dispatched: All Re-inspection fees, Impact Fees, Garbage Fees must be paid and Health Approval, if on septic.
  • The owner must apply for electrical service from the power company, and for water service, where available.
  • Only a valid Charlotte County license holder may work on the property.
  • No mobile home may be occupied until all inspections have been approved and a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.

Pool - Above Ground (24" of water depth or greater)

Required Forms, Documents, and Fee Schedule:
Notes:
  • View the Florida Residential Pool Safety Act for Safety Requirements.
    The following requirements must be met:
      • Must have a motor with a manufacturer approved electrical cord.
      • Outside outlet must exist and on a G.F.I. circuit within distance of manufacturer approved cord. Use of extension cords are not permitted. If electrical requirements are not met, an electrical permit will be required.
      • For pools 4' or higher, a ladder must either be removable, lock in an upright position, or secured by protection according to the Florida Residential Pool Safety Act.
      • For pools under 4' in height, a 4' fence or similar barrier must secure the area. If barrier requirement is not met, then a separate permit may be required.

  • Application
  • Notice of Commencement - (if permit is not filed with pool permit and job value is $2,500 or more)
  • 2 Site Plans
  • 2 Sets of Engineered Plans
  • 1 copy of Survey (only needed if new, or adding deck and cage)
Notes:
  • Reviews will be performed by Zoning and Building Plans.
  • Cage Final must be called for and passed within 6 months of issuance of permit.
