Preparation
Zoning?
To determine the zoning of your property, provide the Land Information Desk, 743-1964, with the legal description of your property. They can advise setback requirements, impact fee assessment, and any special conditions placed on your property
Septic Tank?
If your home will be on a septic tank, contact the Charlotte County Health Department, Environmental Health Section, to obtain a septic tank permit. There will be a fee for this permit payable at HRS. Contact the Health Department at 743-1266 for additional information.
Notice of Commencement?
A Notice of Commencement (Application) must be recorded and a copy provided to the Permitting Office at the time of issuance.
