SITE DRAINAGE REQUIREMENTS

Details:
Habitable floor level must be elevated to a minimum of 18 inches above the crown of the adjoining road for all residences in Charlotte County. A spot elevation certificate of the floor level is required to certify this requirement that must be NGVD.

The maximum level of fill is one foot (12”) above the crown of the adjoining road.

All water is to be retained on the lot of origin or discharged to an acceptable/approved drainage conveyance (street, canal or green way), not the neighboring property.

Positive drainage must be maintained to the approved drainage conveyance.

Maximum slope is 8 to one.

Septic tank systems must follow state regulations.

Lots that cannot possibly meet these requirements will be considered on a lot by lot basis with the site drainage engineer and the building department; with the minimum amount of fill possible being used.
