Charlotte County Building and Growth Management, in conjunction with the Economic Development Office, has initiated plans for their 2nd annual Southwest Florida Green Futures Expo and Energy Options Conference. The Event will be held at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center overlooking beautiful Charlotte Harbor in Punta Gorda, FL on November 12 & 13, 2010. The Conference will run on Friday, the 12th, from 8 am to 5 pm, and the Expo is open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, the 13th.
Last year’s event saw over 2,000 people attending the Expo and close to 400 attendees at the Conference.
In addition to promoting Charlotte County’s initiatives to bring environmentally friendly enterprises and industry to the area, this year’s event will focus on promoting “Building Green, From the Bottom Up.” Your participation in this 2-day event will benefit your own business from increased exposure and brand recognition through our website, and through print and television advertising. Your organization will have the opportunity to support educational efforts benefiting the citizenry, as the region and the state move toward a green and brighter future.
This year’s Conference goal is to provide additional information, resources and awareness about alternative Energy Options such as Geothermal heating and cooling and Zero Energy options for residential applications. The conference program will be rounded out with a panel discussion introducing the Grow FL program to Charlotte County as well as a panel discussion on Innovative Financing Tools in today’s economic climate.
We are also excited to be hosting the Smart Car Mobile Event Trailer on both days of the conference and expo!
The Green Futures Expo is a tradeshow designed to highlight the products and services that will benefit consumers and businesses for a future of green living. Our goal is to bring together many diverse organizations to show potential homeowners, business leaders, builders, and community organizations not only the potential environmental savings from building and living green, but also the substantial dollar savings that can be attained by modifying how we live.
Registrations have begun for the conference and expo. Register today to be sure your products and services are highlighted at one of Southwest Florida’s best attended green events.
