Building Construction Services 
The Building Construction Services Department has recently implemented a new computer system. Due to this, the ability to research permits from the web will be temporarily suspended. If you are in need of this information, please call 941.743.1201 for assistance.
Notice: All permitting, contractor licensing, and plans review services are now being provided at 18400 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. The satellite offices that were located at the Englewood Annex, West Charlotte County, Administration Center, 6868 San Casa Drive, Englewood, FL and at the Punta Gorda Annex, 7000 Florida Street, Punta Gorda, FL have been closed.
Building Construction Services includes: plan review, building permit issuance, building construction inspection, fire prevention inspections, and enforcement of both State and County licensure or licensing requirements relative to all building trades and occupational licenses.

Online Services
ON-LINE AND AIRS PERMITTING/INSPECTIONS: Charlotte County Building Construction Services’ on-line permitting and AIRS (telephone inspection line) will be unavailable beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8 to allow the conversion to our new software system. Beginning Monday, November 9, customers will be automatically directed to the new and improved permitting website. Permit applications will still be accepted in person at 18400 Murdock Circle and inspections may be scheduled by calling 941-743-1204/1205 during regular business hours (Monday 9 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.).
